Jason Davis

In 1993, God called Jason to the ministry while a senior in high school.  Jason followed the call to Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College after graduating High School.  It was at Hillsdale that he met his wife Shelley and married her in 1997.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Missions from Hillsdale.  From Hillsdale Jason and Shelley moved to Drumright Oklahoma in 1998 and became the Children’s Pastor at the Cushing FWB Church.  They remained there for five years.  While there Shelley gave birth to Noah and Bailey Davis.  From Cushing Jason became the youth Pastor at the Stroud Free Will Baptist Church.  However, they did not stay there long before God called Jason into the Chaplaincy in the Oklahoma National Guard.  Jason enlisted as a Chaplain Assistant and went to Basic Training in 2002.  As a Chaplain Assistant he went with the 160th Field Artillery to New Orleans in the wake of hurricane Katrina and ministered to his Battalion in the absence of a Battalion Chaplain.

While serving as a Chaplain Assistant Jason enrolled in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004 in order to complete a Master of Divinity Degree to fulfill the requirements to become a Chaplain.  In 2005 he was commissioned as a Chaplain Candidate Second Lieutenant.  Jason did not complete the MDIV at SWBTS but completed a Master of Ministry Degree from Hillsdale in 2008.  After receiving a Masters he became a Chaplain in the Oklahoma National Guard in 2009.

God has used the Chaplaincy to sharpen His purpose of Jason’s life. While serving in the Oklahoma Army National Guard as a Chaplain, Jason rose to the rank of Captain before being Medically Separated in 2014. Jason’s military career accomplishments include, serving as the 700 Brigade Support Battalion 45th IBCT as Chaplain, Deputy Director of the State Family Programs Office.
